A spin-off of an election management client, Spectrum needed a mark that would appeal to small design firms as well as larger print houses looking to print short-runs and automate mail with variable data. The shape of the logo implies an open envelope while the printer’s loop defines the quality of the printing. The logotype for Spectrum harkens back to the old hand-crafted signs indicative of true artisans with the shape of the letter-forms implies speed. The colors are a more sophisticated mix of the basic cyan, magenta, yellow and black.
